Discover Tunisia
Nestled in between Algeria in the west and Libya in the southeast, lies the Afro-Mediterranean gem of Tunisia. Whether you plan to spend your vacation on the gorgeous golden-brown Mediterranean beaches, exploring the tropical mangroves by boat or discovering its rich history and ancient culture by foot, Tunisia is an African treasure that has plenty to offer inquisitive guests.
What To Do... And Where
Catch a tan, read a book, swim or ride a wave on Tunisia's beautiful, warm, sandy beaches and tranquil waters. Whatever tickles your fancy, Tunisia's year-long sun kissed beaches will bring your African dream holiday to life.
Explore Tunisia's rich history. From ancient Roman architecture to historical Islamic ruins, find these eras preserved at the famous Bardo Museum in Tunis. Also, be sure to check out the Carthage Museum in Byrsa Hill and Dar Ben Abdallah in Medina.
Interested in festivals? Attend the Saharian Festival in Douz and interact with desert traditions, folk art and customs. The Thoroughbred Horse Festival in Meknassy and Plastic Art Festival in Mahres are other interesting festivals you can add to your itinerary.
Hungry? Sample a choice of Tunisian and Mediterranean cuisine at the Space Dar Zarrouk on the Gulf of Tunis, or eat a sumptuous dish of fish at the Petit Navire in Sfax over-looking the harbour.
Party up a storm in Cocoloco, Tunisia's biggest disco that also contains a restaurant serving Meditarranean cuisine, or try your luck at the Cleopatra casino in Hammamet. And while you're at it, why not indulge in a spot of shopping, golfing, spa treatments, and so on?
