What Is The Best Way To Get To Stansted Airport From Gatwick?
There are various ways to travel from Gatwick airport to Stansted airport:
By Coach
The most direct and cost-effective option
Simply take the National Express to Victoria station (it will take 75-95 minutes) and then transfer onto the Stanched coach (it will take 85-100 minutes).
National Express runs services up to 26 times a day between Gatwick and Stansted. All coaches have a WC on-board and run from 3:40am until 9pm.
By Train
Train and tube
- Simply take the southern railway's train into Victoria station
- Transfer onto the tube on the Victoria line and take the circle line to Liverpool Street station.

- It is best to travel by car to Stansted airport on the M25
- Leave the Gatwick Airport and follow the signs for the M23/M25 North towards London
- From the North Terminal, head towards the South Terminal and look out for the M23/M25 signs
- Travel for about 10 miles northbound on the M23 towards London and the M25
- Pick up the M25 clockwise towards Dartford/M11
- Stay on the M25 for about 42 miles
- Exit the M11 and head North towards Stansted (it will be signposted)
- Turn off the M11 and take Queen Elizabeth Bridge while you are on the M25
- You will reach a toll booth. Pay £1 to continue on your journey
- This journey takes about 60-110 minutes
