Malaria Recommendations: The risk of malaria varies throughout Vietnam. Medication is recommended for travel to all areas except urban centres, the Red River delta and the coastal plains north of Nha Trang. The two southernmost provinces of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu are considered high risk areas, therefore the appropriate medicines must be taken in order to avoid infection. Other preventive measures include mosquito nets, creams and scented candals.
