Do I Need A Visa To Visit Russia?

British nationals wishing to travel to Russia on holiday are required to obtain a tourist visa. UK passport holders may apply for a visa to Russia through the Russian Visa Application Center in London or Edinburgh (details below). It is advised that the visa applications are made well in advance prior to your departure in order to avoid disappointment.

The duration of your visa will depend on the purpose of your trip. Tourist visas are valid for up to 30 days, allowing either a single or double entry and exit. Business visas are valid from 1 to 12 months and may allow multiple entries into Russia. Both tourist and business visas cost £30: the visa is processed in a minimum of 8 working days.
